Me as a teacher

When I was little, I always played out the role of a teacher. At home I used to be the teacher and all my family members used to be my students. I used to have this question in my mind but I never found the answer. Until now.

If I were a teacher I would be kind and friendly with my students. I would give everyone an opportunity to participate in class discussions. I would make studying a fun experience and ensure that all the students are involved. I will teach them through extra-curricular activities like art, painting, craft, sketch and drawing. I would give a lot of importance to sports too because along with studies physical fitness is also very important. I would conduct short tests after every lesson to see if the students have learned the concepts. But I would not count the marks in their report cards. I would like to conduct classes under the shade of the trees. I would guide the students on the right path of life and be a model for good values. I would teach them not to be disheartened with failure as failure is the first step to success. I would always support their decisions and teach them to always think positively. I would impart education to make them good world citizens.

Some people think that being a teacher means lecturing and sitting all night long correcting books or shouting at children throughout the day. I believe being a teacher is a noble profession. For me it is not a profession but a noble cause to touch the world, to make it a better place to live in.
